Singapore Conference...

Sat I had went to a friend's seminar. It was in the noon. After I met my friends, we walked towards the building. At the traffic light, the funny thing happened. It suddenly rained without warning! We were attacked without warning so we ran across the traffic light and stay at the shelter. Suddenly the rain stopped. It is just like the lei gong (god of thunder) had a sneeze. Well... We went there wet like we are after jogging. This is quite a good talk they had. It also makes me realize that human can be poor but never sick. The hospital bills is like getting a house or expensive car... To be able to survive after the hospital stay and treatment or even operation. It is a bomb! Especially when you are old, now you can see that many old people will not die of old age but usually with a sickness or cancer. It is frightening that you will need help even to go to a toilet when you are old. I had went to the toilet and saw a middle age man trying hard to get his urine out... Then I heard he talked to another man. He said that, " when you are old, even urine can be a big problem and its hard to get out and is not a good feeling." I had saw a Korean documentary, which shows that it is possible to live up to 100+ with good health for some people which lives near some mountain. The old people there are very healthy and do not look like the old folks in our country. So it is still good to take care when possible.

Recently I had watched a Jap drama, "1 Litre of tears." From the title I know that it is a kind of sad story... The show is acted by pretty and sweet Sawajiri Erika, at first I thought she is Fukada. This is based on true story that touches lots of people.

The character Sawajiri Erika acted is Kito Aya who had a disease called Spinocerebellar Degeneration. This disease has no cure in modern medicine. It is some kind of brain and spinal disorder. The sickness will slowly take away the walking ability and all your limbs will start to failed. And slowly you will have even the problem in speech. You can feel and think but cannot speak. And you may even die of choking of food because your throat will also fail to move the food down. Usually it only happens in adults of 50 age and above. But it happened to a teenage girl of 15 years old. Aya got the support of her family and friends. Although she is not from rich family, she has a family of warm and love. She had survived for 10 years. During these 10 years, she had wrote diary of her daily thoughts and feeling. To us writing a diary on a book is a very troublesome thing to do. To her, it is a very difficult task because of her illness. Until she had lost her ability to write, she kept writing to remind herself to be strong and keeping herself alive. After her death, her diary has published and over 18,000,000 copies of her diary have been sold. It inspired lots of people. One of her quotes “Just being alive is such a lovely and wonderful thing.” It really inspired a lot of people. I really think that if it happens to me, I don’t think I can survive. I had started watching and from the 1^st episode, I can felt the pain that she has. It really will make your tears drop. It has some part which is quite funny too.

In the drama, Aya had went to school and fall in love with a guy, but after he knows that she is ill, he stay away from her. The other guy, Asou who had change into a good person because of her and later they fall in love with each other. Soon she had problem of walking to school, people laugh at her whenever she goes. Her little brother had felt a shame of her because his friends laugh at him. But later her sister Ako, found out and scolded him. Ako said that if she had this sickness, she may not even get out of the house. She sad that Aya is very braved and should felt proud to have such a sister. Later, Aya had to be on wheelchair. It is hard to get to school, so she is force to quit and went to a handicap school. In that school, she continued to write her diary even though she had trouble writing. Her spirit is strong, her family is full of love and care. It kept her fighting spirit strong. In the end she had lost her speech ability, and finally passed away at 25 years old at 1988. After her death, she encourage lots of people who had been ill to continue to live.

Some time ago, there was a TV program about a 4 or 5 years old girl who got a brain cancer which is not able to cure. Her parents try to spend every dollar to make her happy by making all her wish come true. Her sister is a bit jealous of her but knows that she is going to die so had no complain. As a child she had travel a lot of places and had her almost every wish come true. It is indeed much happier than any other child.

After I watch the drama, I really think that it is good to be alive and able to move around with ease. I may have some problem but compared to her it is nothing. In the drama, it showed that the average family that Aya had is much happier than Asou even though he had a rich parents he is not happy. It is a very good drama. Must watch!

Recently I just watch this “Full House” a Korean drama. It is a comedy show starting from a girl name Han Ji-eun. She owned a big house that her father had build up. Ji-eun write novel on the internet. 2 of her friends had some money problem so they buy a ticket and bluff her that she had a lucky draw and send her to china. They sold her house without telling her. It is also a changing point in Ji-eun life by meeting Young-jae who is a movie star. Later when Ji-eun is back, she found that her house is sold and money had gone. And that movie star had bought her house. As this house is very meaningful for Ji-eun, she had agreed to have contract with Young-jae as a fake married couple.

It is very funny as Ji-eun is a very cute and bubbly girl. And Young-jae may seem to be very cool person but is a very childish guy in front of her. Min-heok is a good looking and rich man. He likes Ji-eun as she is cute and always makes him laugh with the silly jokes. Gang Hye-won had been the third party. Young-jae will be the one around her when she needs someone by the side. But she did not love Young-jae and only when he got married, she started to develop feeling for him.

Young-jae likes Hye-won a lot. So this 4 person is loving each other as the show goes on. Young-jae is a bit too much as he expect Ji-eun to wait for him at home as a maid and he went out with Hye-won. And Hye-won still loves Min-heok but make use of Young-jae when she feels sad. So far a few of Korean show are almost like that… having more then 3 person loving each other…

It is funny and sometimes quite touching drama. At first Young-jae and Ji-eun are fake married. Later Ji-eun developed feelings for him, but found out that he had loved another woman. They had called each other names, birdbrain, chicken, etc… They took care of each other when sick. Later Young-jae started to fall in love with Ji-eun. Starting Ji-eun is a maid in the house and had to do all cleaning and cooking for him, as she wanted to get back her house and salary. Later, it turned around. Young-jae had become the maid and was ordered around as cleaning and cooking to be done. When Ji-eun is angry, he will ask her want to have an ice-cream? Well… it has a nice ending…

Man meditate in shopping centre

Well... I had went to the R.C. on weekend. I saw a man who is sitting down on the floor and make some chant... and seems like meditation. So i took a snap of it. After a while he get up and walk away. Maybe he is under some kind of pressure or maybe some mental problem. Anyone would like to sit down with his or her slippers aside and start some kind of ritual or meditate? It is blocking the path people are walking, luckily people were few.

A guy who ask for marriage on TV

I just watch a TV program. It is a Taiwan show. A guy is asking help from the TV stations to ask for marriage to his girlfriend. They are together for 5 years. She had rejected him for a few times. The host and that guy came up with an idea of giving the girl a surprise. So they went there. The host wrapped up the guy in a big present. They knock on the door. The gal open the door and was surprise to see a big box in the door. At first the host blur the gal that she had won some prize. She do not know so after opening the box up. The guy jump up and the gal was surprise. They went into the house. The guy was holding a bunch of flowers and kneel down and ask for marriage. The gal was angry and rejected. She say that the reason was that he is not "man enough".
So the crew of TV station help him out to a special training. Outside there is a obstacle course. Something like the army. This guy is usually do not have training and is very weak. Can't even do a few push-up. So this is a very tough course. The process of training was tough to him. He had almost fainted. But he keeps on trying. The gal went out to see his training and was very touched. After that the real test begins... In few minutes, he had to pass through the obstacles. So in the end, he had pass the course. The gal was touched and eyes were wet with tears. But when he try to ask for the marriage again... She say actually it is not the real reason... haha.... The real reason is ... She wants him to cut off and never contact with the 2 girls which is his god-sisters. It is a tough decision... She was afraid that the girls may affect the marriage... At first he do not agree. Because it is someone which is close to and he would hope at least to be friends. But in the end, he agree.
He went to this younger god-sister. She was very upset as she is in love with this guy. She used the water to spill on the guy's face. The guy is not angry but keeps on to persuade her. In the end she agree, but was crying already. So they tape down the video. Then they went for the elder god-sister. She agreed but felt angry because she think that that lady is too paranoid. So after taking the videos. He inform his girlfriend, and so his girlfriend is waited at another place. They took a bus (which you can see in the sentosa) with banner saying he loved her. When they reached the location. The guy shouted in a speaker saying he had done what she wanted. When he reached, he showed her the videos. The younger god-sis admit that she is in love with this guy. But had to gave up. Then the elder god-sis told her not to be too paranoid. As this guy is her younger brother. So the elder god-sis wish them happy together. After that.... hee hee.... the gal say still got a little more ..... request.....
She had prepared a document.... he must signed and agree to all... That is ..... After marriage, he must give her all the money he earns every month, everything she will take care of... She will never be wrong and always be right. Even if she is wrong, it is this guy's wrong. etc.... Of course there is more .... But I don't remember...
So after he read out, he agreed and sign, so they kissed and hugs. End of mission for the TV crew... And a new beginning for the new couple...
Love can be a very powerful thing in life. It can motivate a person to change and to do something that he or she may not do it normally.

The old man with a parrot hat

The picture on the left is an old man who wear a parrot on the hat... Well... this old man, i had seen a few times. Everytime he would wear a hat with some animal on the top of his cap. I remember once he wear a Santa on his hat. There was once, which is interesting. I took bus with him once. That time he wear a hat with..... want to make a guess? A Cock! Em.... i better call it a rooster. Anyway... It is actually nothing wrong if he likes it. But the problem is that he stand at the back door of the bus and block one of the doors! Can you imagine that people trying to get off the bus? only one door way and lots of people... He doesn't bother them. So I manage to took the picture of the c... oh... rooster.... There is a bus stop when another old man was trying to get down. That old man is tough! He push this old man aside! and get down the bus! hahaha... Then this old man is dam angry! He shouted some hokkien at the other old man and get down the bus and chase him! oh... Maybe if that old man didn't get down the bus, this old man would not get down and go after him! Wonder if they got some old man fight? hmm.... Well... At least everyone can get down the bus easily. This old man that old man... oh....
Actually there is another old lady who is dressed in a weird way. I have seen her wearing some pink all the way... She also wears a hat but without birds on it. She sometimes wears whole red as well... I wonder if they are brothers and sisters or couples.... hee.... hee...
Maybe they are trying to get some attention from people. Actually old people are quite poor thing... This old man who wears a bird on his hat maybe someone trying to get some attention and maybe wanting to be higher status than people. Because they are old, they do not bother about other people thoughts and do whatever they like.

The wife who forgot about her husband

There is a young newlyweds who are deeply in love and filled with hope for new life together. But the wife had lost her memory, when she look into the photo, she will have some pain. It make her miss the girl in the white gown.
She had an accident and badly injured. Doctors even doubted she would survive. Eventually, her physical abilities are recover. But her memories of the previous 18 months are erased. Include the man she had fallen in love with and had married. Her husband become a stranger to her. So they start to date again. After 3 years, the guy proposed to her again, on the Valentine's day. She accepted...
Some people will believe that it is some spirit who take over the body after the accident. Usually the older generation of the chinese will believe that evil spirit taken over the body and so will have no memories of the past with the people surrounding. But after the science have proven that the brain is the cause of the memories lost, it is just a normal brain damage which erase part of the memories.

Sun 19/aug

Today there is a some sort of program at the mall, I happened to pass by so took a picture of it. People gather around to watch. Wang and Mo are the host. Well... I m not that interested so just went off. The weather is really good for sleeping and resting at home. Anyway, life is really boring without school or work. Without money, you can only see things but cannot buy... that is sad... Money is the root of all evil, but without money.... you can't be alive...

Sick....

It is really good to be healthy and happy. Some people have it, some people abuse it. Whatever you want to do, you need to be healthy to be able to do it. My health condition is not good, so it is difficult to achieve the dreams. What I had recently learned is that. From the age of 21 your brain cells will not grow anymore. When you are at 30 to 40, everything will slowly go down hill... From 50 then on, body will start to slow and getting weaker. Sight will get blur and color will be harder to separate from. Everything will fall apart… Even your height will decrease. It is like getting back to childhood. If your health is bad, you may even forget everything, like a new born baby, but not going to grow again. There is a TV program about health. They say that calcium is very important to human as it can affect the mind and some kind of brain related sickness. There is a study show that Korean has some long life old people. They are living in some mountain side and they are farmers. The researchers said that they are long life maybe because of the work they done. They keep themselves busy even if they are old by working and helping people. So start from now keep yourself busy~!!!! Hahaha…

Rush Hour 3

Today, i meet up with an old friend to a movie. Since he have free ticket and his girlfriend is having exam. So I got free show! hahaha... Well... The movie is very funny, can laugh from start till end. When a person have stress, the best is to watch a comedy or a sad movie... It will let your emotion flow... So as to release the stress in you. It is better than watching a horror movie and get yourself to be in high tense.

NDP

Time passes at a infinite speed. Each year of NDP came and gone. When in school, it is always great to have such a holiday every year. Hope every month will have at least one day will be good. Because it is a holiday and a day before will have a half day, almost every year will have to spent time listening to the almost same speech for quite a long time. The songs are quite nice to listen to.
I remembered last year of this holiday season, a day before the holiday, I am working. As the office is not tat busy yet. They held a party. So we only have to work half a day. The rest of the day are having some games and food. At the evening, I even had a chance to show a small trick in front of the people. Even though it was not a successful one but everybody enjoyed.
